Jerry
Rubin, MD
was born in 1951 in Ogden, Utah.
He finished his premedical education at Weber State College.
He attended medical school at the University of Utah, graduating
in 1977, and completed his internship and residency in pediatrics
at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He
then joined Dr. Klein in practice. He is married and has
three children. He enjoys sports, family recreation, wood-working
and gardening. His areas of special interest are behavior
management and holistic medicine.

Dean
Prina, MD
was born in 1953 in Reno,Nevada.
He completed his undergraduate premedical work at Stanford
University and attended medical school at the University
of California, San Diego, graduating in 1979. After completing
his pediatric internship and residency at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center, he joined Partners in
Pediatrics in 1982. He enjoys music,travel, the arts and
volunteer work. His areas of special interest are the newborn,
special-needs children, writing education materials and
holistic care.

Nancy
Lataitis, MD
was born in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee,
in 1958. She completed her undergraduate premedical work
at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She attended
medical school at Vanderbilt University, graduating in 1984.
She completed her internship and residency at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center and joined Partners in
Pediatrics in 1987. Dr. Lataitis is married and has two
children. She enjoys outdoor sports, music and participating
in family recreational and volunteer activities. Her areas
of special interest are the adolescent, asthma, and special-needs
newborns.

Elspeth
"Lisa" Miller, MD
was
born in 1975 in Delta, Colorado.She received both her B.A.
in Economics and her Medical Degree from Tulane University
in New Orleans. She returned to Colorado to complete her
internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health
Sciences Center. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking,
kayaking, and fly-fishing. She is also an avid traveler
and a diehard Bronco fan. Lisa's primary area of interest
are newborn and toddler care. |

Kristin
Prevedel, MD
was born and raised in Littleton,
Colorado. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry
from Colorado College, where she graduated magna cum laude
in 1996. She attended Creighton University School of Medicine
in Omaha, Nebraska from 1997-2001. Dr. Prevedel remained in
Omaha for her pediatric residency training at the University
of Nebraska-Creighton University Medical Centers from 2001-2004.
In her free time, Dr. Prevedel enjoys biking, swimming, and
spending time outdoors and with her family. She also writes
poetry and plays the piano. Dr. Prevedel's areas of special
interest include adolescent medicine, holistic medicine and
childhood obesity and nutrition.

Carina
Pener, MD
Carina was born in Los Angeles, California
and received her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences
at the University of California, Berkeley. She attended
the University of Southern California School of Medicine.
She completed two years of pediatric residency at Rainbow
Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She then
joined her husband in Lexington, Kentucky and completed
her third year at the University of Kentucky. She is married
and has three daughters. She enjoys tennis, skiing and traveling.
Her special area of interest is adolescent medicine. |

Bryan
Kono, M.D.,
was born in Hinsdale, Illinois and raised in Santa Cruz,
California. He received his B.A. in biology from
Occidental College in Los Angeles where he met his
wife Tara. He returned to Illinois for medical
school at the University of Chicago. After completing
his pediatricinternship and residency at Stanford
Medical Center, he joined Partners In Pediatrics.
He enjoys writing,mountain biking, skiing, and
playing ultimate Frisbee. He and Tara enjoy the
mountains year round for their serenity. His areas
of special interest include spirituality and health,
integrative healthcare,and chronic illness management. |

Danny
Kamlet, PA
was born in Denver in 1957. He
attended the Child Health Associate Program through the
University of Colorado School of Medicine, graduating in
1980. He joined our staff in 1985, after having practiced
pediatrics for five years in the Denver area. He is married,
has four children, and enjoys long distance running, tennis,
bicycling and skiing. His area of special interest is well-child
care. |

Jim
Rishavy, PA-C
completed his PA training at
the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program.
He was born in Owatonna, Minnesota, and graduated high
school there. He received an Associate Degree in Electronic
Technology and went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts
Management and Communication degree at Concordia College
in St. Paul. He spent the next 12 years with the Medical
Graphics Corporation, a company specializing in marketing
computerized cardiopulmonary diagnostic systems. Jim is
married and moved to Colorado from Tampa, Florida in 1996.
He enjoys skiing, traveling, camping, and his two Australian
shepherds.

Dana
Mchale PA-C
was born in Portland, Oregon.
In 1993, she moved to Denver to attend the University
of Denver where she received her BA in Chemistry and German
Studies. She spent one year as a Fulbright Scholar in
Dusseldorf, Germany, teaching English to high school students.
Dana returned to Denver where she continued to teach before
attending the Child Health Associate Physician Assistant
Program at the university of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dana and her husband have a young daughter and enjoy running,
bicycling, hiking, spending time with family and caring
for their Weimaraner. Her areas of special pediatric interest
are the adolescent and well-child care.

Holland
Laurin, PA-C
is a Colorado native, born and
raised in Denver. She attended CU Boulder and received
a BA in Environmental, Population and Organismic Biology.
She finished her undergraduate studies by spending a summer
in Spain, learning the language and culture. Soon after
her return, Holland attended the Child Health Associate
Physician Assistant Program at the University of Colorado
Health Sciences Center. She is married and lives in Larkspur,
where she and her husband maintain a llama ranch and enjoy
the beautiful country.

Ben is a Colorado native, born and raised
in Loveland, Colorado. He attended the University of Northern
Colorado majoring in Human Biology. Ben graduated from the
Midwestern University Masters Physician Assistant Program.
Ben's interests are in allergy and asthma. He is married
with two children. His outside interests are his family,
skiing and the mountain's back country.

Mark was born in Hillsboro, New Hampshire.
He attended the University of Colorado at Denver receiving

are in infants and toddlers. Mark is married with one child
and one on the way. His main hobby is his family but enjoys
the mountains of Colorado. |
